Aims:
- Providing a basic introductory insight into the operations and skilled areas of Front Office Service for trainees.
- Developing basic skills, technical knowledge and essential learning experiences for employability primarily in the hospitality industry and other related sectors.
- Functional units include - hotel organization reservation techniques, telephone techniques, health and safety as well as security.
- Equip trainees with knowledge required to complete the assessments and apply this practically.
Level 1 Certificate in Reception Services 8067 -01
This is for candidates who want to begin a career within the hospitality industry, specializing in accommodation services. They will wish to progress as a qualified receptionist. Level 2 Diploma in Reception Services 8067 -02
This is for candidates who wish to work in the hospitality industry and already have knowledge of the basic principles of the work involved in a reception services department, or who can demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm to work and study in order to supplement their existing knowledge. They will wish to progress as a qualified receptionist. Candidates are required to perform and complete practical assessments and demonstrate knowledge through assessment.
The duration of the course is 6 months and the topics covered include:

- Handling cash and guest accounts
